Number 90 Bar is a large canalside bar and restaurant in Hackney Wick. Number 90 has been operating for 3 years, and houses the biggest glitter ball I’ve ever seen.
Number 90 is a short walk from Hackney Wick station, in an urban area of Hackney. The venue is a perfect blend of trendy, cool and smart, in an area where street art is prolific.
The building that houses Number 90 is one giant piece of art with a large mural on the front. You enter into a large bar area, with plenty of seating, that’s a light and airy space. The venue opens straight out onto the canal with some alfresco seating. The canal is surprisingly clean, you’ll be happy to hear! You can sit outside and gaze at the canal or the people working out at the gym opposite as you sip your beer and munch on a burger!
Number 90 is just like it’s younger sister Number 177 in Hoxton (Read my blog here) It’s focus is on art, music, food and drink.
The menu at Number 90 is also similar to their sister bar Number 177, with locally sourced food that has a Greek twist.
I had the tasty pulled pork burger (£8) with the sweet potato fries, and my friend tried the activated charcoal burger (£9). The activated charcoal burger, doesn’t taste of charcoal but tastes like a brioche bun. If you visit Number 90 on a Thursday, there is 2-4-1 on burgers. You can head to Number 90 for a relaxed Sunday Roast between 12-5pm.
Number 90 has a cocktail list, serves local and international beers and wines.
Number 90 is perfect to meet up with large groups of people, due to its space. As the area isn’t residential it can stay open until 4am at weekends. The added advantage of being by the canal makes it a prefect venue for an alfresco drink when the weather is milder.
You can hire Number 90 for film shoots, product launches, corporate parties and events.
