Fiz is a pop up bar, currently located in Soho until 13th August, that is dedicated to all wine that is fizzy.
It was set up to showcase all types of sparkling wine to prove you don’t need to break the bank to enjoy a decent glass of fizz. Fiz wants to challenge the snooty attitude and inflated prices of the typical champagne bar.
The vibe at Fiz is sociable, relaxed and casual, and is based on the back street cava bars you find in Barcelona. Fiz is very affordable, with their house fizz at just £4.50 a glass, and trust me it’s lovely.
Fiz is currently having a residency at the brilliant ‘Lights of Soho’, which is covered in fantastic art by Soho artists and Gods Own Junkyard . Upstairs Fiz has it’s residency but downstairs is the quirky Lights of Soho cocktail bar.
The tables at Fiz are standing height, so whether standing or sitting you are on the same level. There are large ice buckets hooked on the end of the table for wine bottles, so they don’t take space on your table. All designed to make mixing and mingling easier.
The wine menu includes sparkling wine from all over the world including red sparkling, cremant, Cava and prosecco.
Fiz also serves delicious food that caters for vegans, vegetarians and people on a gluten-free diet. The food is all made to share, freshly made, and delicious. Our favourite was the grilled cheese sandwich. Fiz serves lunch, dinner and a weekend bottomless brunch where you can get unlimited house fizz for £25 for 2 hours.
If cheese and wine is your dream they serve a board and bottle of house fizz for £29.
Fiz is a great place in central London to get some work done during the day and has good wifi and plenty of plug sockets.
If you’re looking for a perfect place to catch up with friends or host a party then Fiz is perfect. They serve other drinks as well as sparkling wine too. The menu is diverse and affordable and there’s a great, friendly atmosphere. I loved Fiz and recommenced it to all of my prosecco quaffing pals.
Quick! You only have until 12th August to visit Fiz at this location.
